What a roof certification is

A roof certification is a written statement from a licensed roofing contractor that the roof is free of active leaks and is expected to perform for a stated period, provided it’s maintained. Buyers, lenders and insurance companies often ask for one, especially on older roofs.

How it works

Call or have your agent call to schedule. We work around escrow timelines.
We inspect the roof, flashing, penetrations, gutters and visible attic areas, and photograph everything.
If the roof qualifies, we issue the certification. If it needs work first, you get a written repair price.
Once repairs are complete, we issue the certification so escrow can move forward.

We know escrow deadlines don’t move. Send us the address and the closing date, and we’ll do our best to get out quickly and get you a clear report you can share with both sides. We don’t charge for the inspection visit.
